CAR ACCIDENT CLAIM SOLICITORS

If have been involved in a vehicle collision and you are sure that you are not the person that caused the incident then you can pursue a car accident claim against the negligent third party and make them pay for any losses that you suffer including the pain and suffering of any physical injury.

There are a number of matters that you should think about prior to making your car accident claim. The preservation of evidence is particularly important and you should ensure that you get full personal details not only of the driver and the insurers but also of the other vehicle involved in the incident and the full names and addresses of any witnesses. If the other driver was driving a commercial vehicle then you should also obtain the address of the company that owns the vehicle as well as the name of the person who is charged with the task of negotiating insurance and fleet matters at the company.

You should also remember to inform your own insurers about a possible car accident claim as soon as you can. You should do this even if you believe that you are not at fault. You don’t need to inform your own insurers formally and even a simple phone call will usually be good enough. Even though you may not intend claiming against your own insurer they will still send you a report form that you should complete and send back for their records. Not following the stated procedures in your own policy can have serious consequences which may involve the insurance company’s refusal to indemnify you should it be necessary to involve them in due course.

If the other driver is uninsured or you have been the victim of a hit and run accident and the other driver remains untraced then you can make a car accident claim to the Motor Insurers Bureau. The MIB will pay compensation to the innocent victims of road traffic accidents that involve third parties that are uninsured or untraced. In order to be eligible to get this form of assistance you should report the incident to the police as soon as possible and make an application to the MIB without delay.

If you suffered any type of personal injury and the emergency services did not treat you at the accident location then you should proceed to a general hospital with an accident and emergency department or meet with your GP as soon as possible in order to document the injuries to facilitate a compensation claim in due course.

Our solicitors operate exclusively using the no win no fee scheme. We pay compensation in full with no deductions. Our claims are totally risk free and, win or lose there is no charge. We do not ask you to fund or finance your claim as it proceeds and we only use specialist lawyers who are members of the Law Society panel of personal injury experts.
